The Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts /UNRWA is located on a beautiful hill in Almuqableen in the Southern Western side of Amman. The size of the campus is 103 Donums which is equal to 10.3 hectares. The Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts (FESA) opened its doors for teacher trainees at the beginning of the academic year 1993/1994, with the aim of preparing highly qualified teachers to teach in the Basic Compulsory Stage at UNRWA schools.

It also aimed at qualifying in-service UNRWA teachers who were holders of the two-year community college diploma to become holders of the Bachelor’s degree. Qualifying such in-service teachers was taken into account in conformity with the provisional law of Education Act No. (28) issued in the First National Conference of Educational Development held by the Ministry of Education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in 1988.

UNRWA established the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Arts in 1971 thus it became the Agency’s first institute of teacher education in the region that grants pre-service teachers the Bachelor’s degree.  Since its inauguration, FESA strived to be a model for education excellence among all faculties of education and arts in the country and in the region.
